well using vb is quite simple for beginners. you donot need to learn any code. simply draw the buttons, textboxes,etc. and write one or two lines and your first program is ready. so let us begin:
open microsoft visual basic 2010 express edition and then click on new project.
click on windows form application, give a name , say 'hello world' and the click ok.
now the screen is a bit like this-
now in the toolbox (it contains the tools for the application to be built) , if not there press ctrl + alt + x , select textbox and draw it on the form. the select a button from the toolbox and draw it.with the button selected, go to the roperties window down right and select text. the write down print.
now the screen is like this-
now double click the button . command window is displayed on the screen. type there -
textbox1.text="hello, world"

understanding this briefly- when the button is button is dbl clicked, the command window displays what will tghe program do when the button is clicked ( single ). now on writing what was said above, the textbox1 's text will be hello,world. simple.now to run this press f5.
